If the hack works, it's a great deal. I've done these hacks a few times at Home Depot as a number of you have. Sometimes ymmv, but it typically works. it's an awesome vac.

Just want to add my experience with Home Depot hacks. I have done many of them and ALL of them have worked. I typically have both items delivered and then return the item I don't want as opposed to the not picking up the item I don't want.

It is a great vac. I have it as well. The switch died on my first one and depot swapped it. It eats batteries quick, though.

I am in the DeWalt battery family. But from my understanding the DeWalt wet vac is pretty bad and the Milwaukee great. I plan on getting the Milwaukee to DeWalt converter which I read works as long as you use smaller DeWalt batteries (no room otherwise). However having Milwaukee battery may not be bad idea

Is this a good deal if the battery is kept too. Or is the combo at better prices at other times?

--Nevermind, I realized this isn't even the good packout version

Yeah, I've never had a problem returning 1/2 of the "hack" deal to HD. I was questioned once why I was returning some batteries and I told them I didn't need them. I got the impression they were just checking to make sure they weren't defective.

Yep, same here. When I return the unwanted item to Home Depot they pretty much always ask why I'm returning and I pretty much always say I don't need it. It's never an issue. I think they just need a reason to input into their system.

Can confirm the same. They're using "AI" to ban accounts that have taken advantage of hd, according to discussions on Reddit.

I created a new account, different email address, I was able to place one order, after that, that account got banned. (Same street address?)

Now I shop at lowes, Menards, ace. I won't even do walk ins b&m purchases at he since they've banned me.
