I have owned an Osprey bag for the 15 years. It may be an old model, but if Ospry's quality control hasn't gone south it still will be a good deal.

I've had this bag for over 10 years and absolutely love it, it's well constructed, easy to pack and fill, great as a backpack or you can zip in the staps and use it as a carry on - fits in all overhead bins - 5/5

The 70L? I'd like to get it, but the Osprey video says the 70L is too big to be a carryon. They say the 55L and 40L can be your carryon. Have you been able to get the 70L past the gate agents and then easily into the overhead bins?

I almost pulled the trigger on this, but then looked into the pack features a bit more. This is great for frequent travelers on planes or trains, but a bit less useful for backcountry camping. Make sure you compare this to other backcountry packs if that's what your intentions are with this pack.

I've had the slightly smaller version for a couple of years now, and love it. It's perfect for travel. This is an older style. I still recommend!
