It is dangerous since the cleaning part is closer to your ear drum and you are highly likely to hit your eardrum before you see it and the end of the cleaning part.
I WOULD recommend this style IF you want to keep an eye on ear health, take pictures for telemedicine, IF IF IF you remove the cleaning portion and CLEANLY SAND THE SHARP METAL EDGE OFF that results from removing the cleaning portion - if not this would be very dangerous.
For actual cleaning get the kind where the cleaning tool screws on the end - so you can inspect the ear canal first prior to using.
