Pretty good traction in ice and snow but the tops don't seem to be very waterproof, as my toes got wet from the frontmost part of the top getting snow on it.
Size up. I normally wear 12 wide but bought 13 wide. Good thing I did because one pair was too small even though it was the same exact size on the label as the other pair that actually fit.
