Explain? This is 200 lumen, still decent as tiny carrying torch for quick access

anyone know the size of the battery in these lights? I assume proprietary and not a standard size?

200 lumens is plenty for most situations you would need this sort of light in. The higher lumens a light is, the harder it is for your eyes to adjust to the darkness without it. As someone who collected flashlights for almost 2 decades, I just realized semi recently the vast majority of the time I am outside at night Id rather not use one. This is funny cause it goes against nearly everything in my thinking brain. Turns out if the moon is out and you give your eyes time to adjust, you can see better all around you without one.

There's also the inverse square law with lights. For example, you would need 800 lumens to be double the brightness of 200. 200 lumens is double the actual brightness of 50 lumens.

Still no video or photos showing capabilities in complete darkness indoors and outdoors. Just the usual unboxing nonsense.

You might be talking about perceived brightness, not actual brightness because 400 lumens is double the brightness of 200 lumens even though it might not appear so to the human eye.

After going through plenty of flashlights I have reduced down to 2 models, and this was one of them. I got them during the Holiday deal. They're perfect.

Reason 1) Flood light functionality in the most compact form. There's a popular style on sites like Amazon that have a similar style with a built in carabiner clip. This increases the footprint. These Defiant style lights allows you to remove the carabiner allowing for a tiny footprint. Flood light functionality works just as good as some expensive portable "shop lights."

Reason 2) 4 ways of fastening. There are 2 types of clips on the back. Allowing it to easily clip on to anything (I routinely clip it to to the top of my couch while I write notes.) There is also a magnet and of course the carabiner, which is completely removable allowing you to use the small loop for anything you would like.

In summation. This is one of my top 2 models for daily flashlight carry. For me, they cannot compete with other similar products. @ $5 apiece I highly suggest picking some up if you're in the market for a small everyday flashlight.

I have a few similar models from Aliexpress, and love them. They are so useful to have in a pocket, and can be pulled out to look in dark holes, pipes, etc. I would have one in a small tool kit for sure.

There are two levels of light and blinking. As said tiny but powerful. It is not a direct light. It spreads it out. Enough light to see across a dark basement. Can walk around no problem in the dark.
