Here is my comment from the last posting replying to someone warning about the watts/amps this thing draws. Buyer beware: Wanted to come and reply to this person's excellent insight that I wish I had paid more attention to. Maybe this will help someone else in the future. Uninstalled my old bidet with a water tank, installed this one, and immediately the lights in the bathroom started to flicker and the bathroom fan lowered in speed whenever you sat on the thing. When starting up and heating water, it pulls about 80% of the total load on the bathroom breaker. If you have it on its own dedicated circuit/breaker, you are probably fine but otherwise I would avoid.
The best way to check if your lights/fan/etc would be affected by this bidet is to plug in clothes iron into the same power outlet that you plan to use for bidet. Turn the iron up to linen or cotton mode and observe the lights.

Great bidet! Have this and have had no issues. I never had lights flicker or anything like the previous poster mentioned. I don't doubt it uses a bunch of electricity in small bursts to heat the water etc but again I personally haven't experienced any flickering or slowing of my fan.

I had the Bio Bidet BB 200 for 3 and 1/2 years before it died on me. Of course it only had 3-year warranty. Not sure how I really feel about having a Fancy bidet. Here are my two cents. The $50 cheap ones have actually better water pressure in my opinion. The dryer never really dried on the electric one unless you sat there for at least a minute or two. I did love the warm water though and here's where I would say to buy it. If you live in a cold climate, the heated seat and the heated water is well worth it if you live in a warmer climate. I live in Oklahoma and we only get cold for about 2 to 3 months out of the year I never really use the heated seat or the hot water except for those couple months. So I guess my conclusion is if you live in a cold climate I would definitely say yes because you would get the most out of it with the heated seat and the heated water. If you live in a very warm climate, I would almost say go with a cheap one

Where I live it's a code to have such a device on a dedicated circuit.
Our current Toto Washlet (S300), about 23 years old, has a wall mounted remote. Sensor died so looking to replace our washlet. On this model, it looks like it is fixed to the side of the toilet which I assume does not move with the up/down motion of the seat. Is it easy enough to access the buttons from the side? Been also eyeing the KS6 model for about $120 more.

Tt's convenient having the remote fixed onto the side. There isn't a risk of losing the remote. The buttons are on the right side of the bidet, and it isn't too low or high. I don't need to adjust my posture at all to press the buttons.
its a pretty good deal. our bio bidet just starting to having issues which is about 8 years. our older Toto is still running well at around 10yr mark...
unless you have a good place to mount remote, having the control on the side is pretty convenient.

And in Japan, PLENTY of western toilets have these add-on Totos. I've been all over Japan and it's more uncommon to see all-in-ones there.
