This electric salt and pepper grinder set stands out for its removable AAA batteries, which avoid the hassle of built in rechargeable cells and make replacement simpler. The rechargeable version is also described as holding charge well over months of use. The main concerns are practical ones, including side button placement that can trigger accidental grinding, uncertainty about grind strength and size adjustment, and questions about long term reliability. The matching black finish for both grinders also makes salt and pepper harder to tell apart, a compact option if battery convenience matters more than extra features.

Common Questions (4)

  • No. It uses 4 AAA batteries instead of a built-in rechargeable battery, which avoids charging but means you'll need to replace the batteries when they wear out.

  • That is the main practical concern raised about this style of grinder: it needs enough power to handle pepper, and one similar unit was reported as dead. The set's real-world grinding performance is not confirmed in the comments.

  • Yes. The side button can be pressed by mistake while picking it up, which can dump ground pepper where you don't want it; a top-mounted button would avoid that.

  • Yes, this set is listed as black/black. That makes it harder to tell salt from pepper at a glance, since similar sets often use different colors for each grinder.

I have a similar set - I really don't like the button being on the side, I end up pressing it by mistake whenever I grab it to use it, and end up with ground pepper all over. I think the button should be on top.
I also have a similar set I bought at Home Goods. No buttons though. It grinds as soon as you flip it upside down. However, the things take 6 aa batteries each. 🤦

I can't figure out how to change the grind size though. I don't like chewing my salt and pepper.

Couldn't say, mine are the rechargeable ones. I don't use it very often due to the aforementioned issue.

Yes I realize most kitchens have outlets....clearly though I keep a USB C charger staged near my bed. But thank you for the mind blowing suggestion that charger can be moved to any other 120v outlet for the once in a year issue when my salt grinder needs topping up, that never occurred to me.....
Ur welcome professor fortunately I'm able to afford multiple chargers so I don't have to move it. maybe you should seek A better paying job and you too maybe able to afford multiple chargers bucko.
