Part 3 is actually my favorite movie of the entire series. Stellar performance from Terry Farrell of DS9 fame, actually gives character and a backstory to Pinhead, plus the club scene is horror at its finest.
Part 4 is the legendary "Pinhead in Space" movie. I still can't believe they released it into theaters. Check out a very young Adam Scott!
Parts 5 through 8 were all scripts for other direct to video movies before they were repurposed to be Pinhead movies. Quality is all over the place because of this.
Part 5 is the first movie from director Scott Derrickson, of Sinister, Black Phone, and Dr. Strange fame. By far the best of the later movies, but like all of them you would rather see it as it was originally meant to be told.
Part 6 is not only the worst movie of the series (yes, even worse than Part 9 which technically isn't a movie) but it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Part 7 is a creepy cult movie that starts off AWESOME but falls apart the second they shoehorn Pinhead into it. Seeing a theme here?
Part 8 is borderline comedy, highlighted with a goofy performance from a very young Henry Cavill. The whole time you just wish he'd tear his shirt open to reveal the Superman logo, because THAT would have been a movie.
