$8.68 before 15% off S&S. 50 1.3oz packets. If you're a regular Swiss Miss user, you already know that they vary the amount per packet widely, from as little as around 1/2oz to this size. Actual cups of their cocoa take 2-3 tablespoons, around an ounce. I either buy their bulk cannisters on sale, or repack these packets into jars, and measure my own. This is a decent deal if you jar it, and measure your own.

Please pay close attention to the expiration date upon delivery. Amazon has a history of shipping food products that are near their expiration date.

In fact, since it occurs frequently, my theory is that they purchase short-dated products from the manufacturers/distributors for pennies on the dollar. That's even more likely when the price is especially low. This isn't a good example (relative to the routine price), but it's definitely a good deal.

I've never had this experience....and I've used several hundred of these (in 50 count boxes and standard packaging), so that's confusing! From my experience with these, they've always contained the same amount of powder.
Insofar as what the proper amount of powder would be (per cup or mug), that depends upon individual preference. Some don't have an issue with it being somewhat weak. Others prefer it stronger (myself included). I prefer the canister of powder, but it's too costly per serving....so I use these packets and add a bit of powder from the canister (the best of both worlds).
