As ridiculous as this looks the idea of a "hands free umbrella" seems phenomenal in certain applications like having to be in any position where you are in the sun doing yard work or working on a car and there's no shade you can provide yourself from an ez up or whatever. I'd be more inclined to pull weeds if I wasn't having to worry as much about heat exhaustion/sunburn so I would be with a smaller hat.
