It's a regular price I paid at the store. Bought a few in the past. Not the best but does the job for it's price.

Wow, turning a non-disposable item into a one time use because you're unwilling to clean it. I'm not a tree hugger, but wow, that's wasteful.

I have 4 that I bought over a year ago. We use them daily for everything cutting meat, food, ect. I only have wash them so only one has very mild rust at the hinge point but other than that one, they're great.

I have a couple pairs. Not much difference to me compared to Kitchenaid. Price is definitely better. I figure I just chunk them when they start to rust.

Use a metal scouring pad or wire brush and you'll prevent/remove rust and keep the blades sharp

there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating or drinking small amounts of rust. it won't do anything to you.
