Is this the best cordless vacuum under $100? My GF wants a Bissell Air Ram but they seem outdated with no HEPA...

I would say yes. Under $100 for a cordless stick from a well known brand is a great deal. If you can stretch to $200, Walmart has the V8 Absolute (get that for $10 more over the basic V8 since it includes the fluffy head) for $189.

I made the mistake once of buying a vac with add-on HEPA and ended up tossing it because the add-on was clipped to the exhaust and never stayed on. Will never buy anything without whole machine HEPA again. Make sure you also have some kind of HEPA purifier since vacuuming always causes exhaust, which tosses that dust up in the air. That's why canister vacs are problematic. An air purifier (obviously with HEPA, I think they all are) is complementary to a HEPA vac.

Keep the long stick on so the exhaust comes out far from the floor to avoid tossing up tiny dust up in the air. You can remove it for portability in between your regular vacuuming, or for cars or whatever.

I ordered one. The battery is replaceable. I purchased a previous stick vac but threw it away because the battery died. I swore against non replaceable batteries.

Got this recently, highly recommend getting a larger greenworks 24v battery as backup/swapping. Great vacuum for the price after that

That's a good price for the battery. You'll notice the difference between the two batteries, great to have a backup either way
