I've read the first 2 of these in the past 3 days and I'm currently on the 3rd. I'm a big Kindle guy, but thinking about grabbing this for my shelf regardless just because I loved it so much.

I've listened to the audiobooks 4 times through. It's by far my favorite series. I'm jealous of the people that get to listen/read it for the first time!

This series is so fun. Im inbetween a couple other fantasy series but this took my focus. If you dont buy this you can check your local library. Its a great series and I ended up buying them all this Christmas.

Warning. Highly addictive. I started and finished my first listen of all 7 books in 2 months end of last winter. Then a month later I relistened to all of them in may. Then come October i listened to all of them again. The next book comes out this summer. I'll relisten again before that.

Just to be clear I don't think they're comparing them to those series. It's quite different. Neither Harry Potter or Game of Thrones interest me but this series I'm addicted to.
