A very good detector, but i would try to get one with directional arrows. There are current deals on the R7/8

These are amazing. But the newer ones with arrows are better and the newest addition with Bluetooth is worth it if you have photo radar and red-light cameras on the regular.

But for the basic detector, this has an incredible range and excellent anti-falsing.

I've had my R3 since I bought it from urlhasbeenblocked for $360 on 11/23/18. Works really well. No false hits in advance setting. I don't speed often, but I've been through a few rural areas where cops get you for doing any over and it's saved my bacon.

I bought this back in 2018 when it was still a new model, and it has worked great ever since. Once in a while it gets confused about sun reflections as a laser signal also some LED streetlights also show up as laser, but both of those occurrences are rare, and it is not a dealbreaker if someone wants to buy it. On the very positive side, I was driving through Nevada in 2022 and this radar detector has picked up a cop on I15 about 10 miles ahead of me. At first, I was wondering if it was a false detection, but no, it was getting stronger the closer I got to him, and then I noticed him parked between the north and south lanes in the middle. But there's only one problem. The OLED display has suffered a burn in and doesn't look as sharp as when new.
