Do a lot of games support WQHD now? This looks like a very good deal

Yep. I have an ultrawide (curved) monitor and I can only think of a handful of games that don't work at 21:9. Every major modern game should be able to handle it for sure and many many others as well.

That doesn't make sense though. The vast majority do support it.

Quite a few 1 star reviews saying it won't work, or breaks under a year, bad manufacturing, faulty product, etc. It may appear to be a slickdeal - but no matter how cheap it is, the value is $0 if it won't work or breaks down under a year.

Shenzhen Cape Vision Technology Co., Ltd.

They sell on Amazon, Walmart, and Temu.

I can't find info on the panel itself.

Ugh. I bought the Sceptre 34 inch UQHD...not super crazy about it. Wondering if I should return and try this out...

I've had mine for almost four years, same experience as you. I did stone age Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 at 3440x1440 in preparation for the release of Baldurs Gate 3. The list of games that won't work is very short to the point IDK any offhand.

34" ultrawide is the deal. This particular one isn't very good.

You can still spend $600 or more easily on 34" ultrawide monitors, especially if it's an OLED.

It feels like everything these days is a luck of the draw. You'd think that if you spent more, the quality and longevity SHOULD be better, but that's not always the case. My $700 Samsung C34F791 ultrawide, became faulty just right after the 3 yr warranty was up, developed vertical bands/lines. Makes me wonder if electronics these days are just built to last a certain amount of time, or just to a high enough standard that most of them get through the warranty period.
