Hmmm.... although it's not on sale now at a similar price at Home Depot, I like this one: Milwaukee FASTBACK Folding Utility Knife with General Purpose Blade. There was a prior deal where you got a two-pack for <$20.00. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/pro...48-22-1901

I've only used traditional sliding utility knives. Are these better? Sometimes the slider will push back in if I am pressing too hard -- I assume that's a problem these wouldn't have. But is the one-handed operation as smooth? With the sliders I slide the blade back in with my thumb every time I put it down.

It's nice having it feel a bit less fiddly, not having to worry about accidentally hitting the slide release when you shift your grip is great, but mostly I just like the grip on these better. I do sometimes find I hold the blade-release on these by accident when I'm gripping way up-front for more precision. Hasn't been dangerously, but does make the blade wobbly.
I can't open this pocket-knife style one-handed. I can close it one-handed, but I do find myself setting it down in the open position more than I should.
