7 Pro doesn't have a replaceable SSD. The 7+ and newer do, for those that care. Though SSD prices make that a less attractive option.

This is oddly tempting and looks like 3rd party keyboard / cover options are easy enough to find on Amazon.

BTW, and I thought getting older games to work with the Steam Deck's or my 16:10 laptop's native resolution was annoying....2736x1824 is just out of left field.

You'll probably be very frustrated woth performance and toss this aside. I have an older Asus one with amazing resolution but horrible performance. Then we got a much more expensive surface pro, and very similar problem a bit better performance but still bloated. Can these run Linux?

The reasons you list are why we see so many of these model flooding sites. This was the last model before Microsoft made some much needed and much desired changes to the Surface tablet lineup.
