I have this and it's been doing very well. I got 1.4G speed on wifi.

It gets pretty hot after running for long time which I assume is what caused connection issue for some. I left it on a wired rack so it can cool from both top and bottom.

incredible price on a triband wifi 7 router..... You dont need anything but this for most households. Could not find many reviews of it unfortunately, but the slightly better BE9700 has reviewed very well, linked it below since they should be pretty identical. The only real difference between the 9500 and 9700 is the 9500 has 2 1Gbps ports instead of 3 2.5Gbps ports on the 9700. Also the 5Ghz band is slightly faster on the 9700.

I recommend a cooling stand for your router. It keeps it lifted up for better airflow and has a fan to help it out. I picked one up on AliExpress from Cooler Master, but I'm sure there are other brands out there.

How's range? Will WiFi speed drop significantly a few rooms away?

I ordered this a few days ago from Costco. Needed a new router and figured for $100 I couldn't do much better for a wifi 7 router. I don't think this has the 6ghz band though

That was only if you used their anti virus and spam protection as it sent the data to their GERMAN security provider for packet inspection... The same way many other who provide real time protection do...

That depends way more on your house and location, then router, if your house has heavy interference and heavy construction materials than it can have significant coverage issues... In a normal setting this router will easily cover up to 50ft of range and still provide usable speeds.

It does have 6ghz. That's what tri-band means.

Reviews on Costco are not good, several stating that exact problem.

Tri-band does not explicitly mean 6 GHz.

I had this briefly and it was stable but I returned it because range wasn't great also you can't force a specific channel width.

Tri band can also mean it has a second 5ghz band instead of 6ghz. I haven't really seen it often on wifi 7 routers much but it was common on tri band WiFi 6 routers.

I currently have an Archer AX55 (AX3000), but it can't reach some of the upstairs rooms of my house. Would this one be a significant upgrade?

I'm also curious if I can use one of the two (whichever is weaker) as a range extender with EasyMesh.
