I would say it depends on what you're looking for. In October I bought an AD5X which was great until a firmware update and then it had tons of bed leveling issues. May have been a coincidence, and I'm not ruling out user error although I think I did everything I should to get the bed leveling worked out and it just hasn't. It also seems to be an inconsistent problem because just when I think I have it fixed, and I get a few prints to come out great, it's back to being an issue and tinkering again. It also is starting to have some strange noises coming from the IFS module and a couple of other quirks. I'm not spending as much time fixing it as I am printing with it, which doesn't work for me. When it works, it's really awesome. I've also used it a TON since I got it, have about 1100 hours printing on it since October which is about 11 hours per day, so it has definitely been through the ringer for such a short time (longest print was 70ish hours which it did admirably).
Last week I bought a p1s. So far, it's just better in every way. I also like that there is a lot more knowledge about the p1s out there than there is about the ad5x. For the price, the AD5X when working is almost impossible to beat, especially if you get it on a sale, but if it's not working as well like mine I'm not sure the value proposition holds up over the p1s/ams combo for 550. I thought about the p2s but didn't feel like the value was really there for the extra 250 dollars.
