I've had 4 different Roborock vacs and they are all excellent, however if you can swing it, I'd highly recommend getting one with a automatic dock that auto washes and dries the mop pads and empties the vaccum chamber for you. I've gone from having to remember to do it every other night to not having to worry about it for a week at a time. Life saver.

I have the q7 and am upset that it can't avoid wires and backpack straps. Always gets stuck. Is the q8 any better?

as someone who has multiple of robots (mostly irobot and neato, and recently upgrade to dreame), you want one with automatic dock, otherwise you better off just buy a regular vacuum.
