I have these, got them for running in the winter. They work well, the third setting is usually too hot but glad it's there if I need it on a real cold day. I got them for running in the winter and appreciate the water resistant feature since I sweat. They're also thin so fit well under gloves and came with a split usb-c charger.

Amazon promo codes don't always apply automatically. If you run into issues, try refreshing the page, re-entering the code, or revisiting the cart.

On the Amazon app, you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code.

Yeah I had to end up using the desktop site to get it to apply properly and show the reduction in price. Thanks for the tip!

I use these everyday on walks. On the third setting you could walk through the arctic circle. And they're fun to click back and forth when you have them stuck together with the magnet.

Bought this over others because its one of the only ones that ar UL Certified (UL File Number: E535516). On setting 1, I notice it cuts off the heat, cools down, then heats up again. Assuming its for safety and to not fry the battery. I have others that stay toasty longer. So far I feel safe putting this UL certified one in my kids backpack for when they're cold.

I bought myself one of the half pill looking units from this brand, and my daughters a different flowery patterned ones for Christmas. One smaller unit (which I posted a deal on) and a slightly larger unit in similar form factor to this one. I noticed the same thing, that the heat element fades in and out, which I thought was a malfunction. But based on some of the other reviews, I believe it's a feature, maybe safety related as you suggest. I wish they listed this in their feature and/or listing, but I didn't see it.

But all of them have fared pretty well on Tahoe trips for us, mostly on setting 1 or 2. 3 was a bit too hot. I usually just use them while sitting on the lift inside my gloves/mittens.

I just bought another brand that has this annoying on/ off pulsating operation only instead of holding consistent heat. Can you confirm that it's the same for this one and is it really only at the lowest setting?

I also bought a different brand of hand warmers from here, and they do the same thing... the heat 'cycles' on and off, so even at the lowest setting for just a second or two they might be too warm to hold, but give them a couple of seconds and they're comfortable again. Until they're not, getting not warm enough and them BAM the warm starts cycling up again. They're like electric stoves in that sense I guess, they try to maintain an 'average' warm temperature but rather than heat to a set point and stay there, they cycle on and off with increasing frequency the warmer you wish them to be. Personally, I wouldn't buy another pair, I'd just buy like 20 packs of those disposable hand warmers which get to a set point and just stay there continuously for a long time until they fade away.
