Is Hisense better than Samsung or LG ?
Hisense (and TCL): Because Hisense is a China-based company, privacy advocates and government officials (like those in the 2025 Texas lawsuit) have raised specific concerns about data potentially being accessible to foreign governments.

Samsung & LG: These companies are based in South Korea. Their tracking is generally seen as a commercial play for "Ad-Tech" revenue. In fact, some manufacturers now make more profit from selling your data than they do from selling the actual TV hardware.

so you have two choices... go with Samsung and LG and you get hit with targeted adds or go with Hisense and TCL and know the Chinese Gov't knows what you watch.

Obviously there are better TV's in that size range but for $1,000 if you want a huge TV it's a great deal. I tend to avoid China companies though and stick with American companies but with TV's I'm not aware of any American companies. I know most stuff is made in China but if it's an American company at least the profits stay here and there are more jobs for American's but to each their own.

Had a Hisense screen die after just 3 years. I've never had a TV screen die in such a short time period. Maybe just bad luck, but it wouldn't be surprising if they are cutting some corners on quality to achieve the price points.
They are all crap. My C1 77inch died in little over 3 years. For me this is the most expensive yet the tv that has lasted the least amount.

I've had a hisense 96" for almost 5 years, its still going strong. The only thing I hate is the software.

I am waiting for the Samsung 130" later this year but still using my $4000 LeEco umax85 from 2016 a VA panel with 550 local dimming zones. Its 10 year anniversary is coming up and I havent dusted it or anything. This puppy is built like a tank and is my longest surviving TV just edging out an 9 year old Samsung LCD that recently died.

Now THIS is the appropriate comment to reply with "that's what she said", but I'll refrain.

Much respect to keeping hard working Americans money here and not giving it to communist nations.

Seems like there's a Chinese spy voting down your post.
