We have a different Chinese brand that works well. It's 5 year old now, and our complaints are that hair tangles like crazy and it's a PITA to empty the bucket. That has a different brush than this SD here. Looks like the same poor design to empty the bucket. There needs to be a way for the bucket to detach from the unit easily to pull off all the wrapped hairs from my wife. Also, I prefer the unit to hang below the piping so it's balanced better.
I have had many different brands of these vacuums. The batteries is okay for a couple years and became landfill items since you can't get a battery replacement. Go for Ryobi vacuum since the batteries are available and cheap.
When using these cordless stick vacs, ALWAYS set it down on the floor whenever you are needing to move a chair or go pick something up. I used to own an appliance store and all brands of cordless vacs would break very frequently because they don't stand up on their own like a normal vac does. People lean them against the wall or furniture and they are too top heavy for that. The entire battery, motor, dust bin, electronics, etc are all at the top. Get into the habit of placing it on the ground when you need to move something.
I tried one of these Chinese knockoffs, compared to my v11 it is pathetic. they can pick up small crumbs and dust. I recommend spending more on a product that actually works well with power.
