Are you saying this because it sheds a lot of lint, or are you talking about the original meaning of the term? In modern blanket manufacturing, sherpa is a type of synthetic fleece, not an animal product.

The 2 sherpa blankets I bought got scratchy and flat after normal washing, but maybe there's a better tier of sherpa I've never tried? Is it better from, say, Land's End than from Target or Kohl's?
