FYI: it's just 5 pots/pans. Very misleading product description. They count 4 protectors as part of the 17 pieces.
Just ranting a bit.

I've had mine for about a year and a half. It seems to be holding up. One thing that is super weird though is the bottom of the pans have a weird black residue every time they are washed in the dish washer. Not terrible but it can get everywhere if not maintained. I placed pads in the cabinet where they at so they dont leave stains.

I'm having a hard time cooking with my non-stick stainless steel set and I don't want to risk cooking on Teflon. Is Ceramic a good middle-ground?

My set is about a year old and I only use the big pan but I use it every day and it seems like it is holding up.

Mine will almost make it a year give or take a few months. I cook on them nearly everyday. Outside of stainless and cast iron these are my go to. As the other poster mentioned, the shiny bottom begins to deteriote leaving a residue if left on a clean surface.

Stainless steel is not "non stick."

Teflon and its friends definitely last longer and stick less, but that's because they are chemically engineered to do so - and the stuff that makes them that way is the stuff they is (potentially) unhealthy because we ingest it over time.

Ceramic is a good middle ground. It's natural but adheres less to stuff but it's not quite as good. It's also
not as resilient and so you will need to replace them more often. That's the tradeoff.

Thank you for the correction. I meant to say that it isn't non stick. Thank you the info.

"Ceramic" cookware isn't made with ceramic. It's essentially just a variation of nonstick. ceramic cookware has also has been found to have PFAS at times, due to the manufacturing process

Have you read up online how to cook with stainless? I used to have trouble which was mostly with eggs and now hardly have any sticking. The key with eggs was to heat the pan and add oil or butter later just before putting the eggs in.
Stainless takes a little more work between cooking with it to get a nonstick effect and cleaning it(using Bartenders Friend) but it's worth it. No worries about the chemicals and they look just as good now as they did when I bought them.
Having said that I considered buying a ceramic skillet for my daughter but when I started reading about how they don't last all that long I changed my mind.

Is there a non stick pan that will last? Even at a higher price point? I'm tired of replacing my main pan every 6-12 months.

I like ceramic because it's relatively nonstick, without the stuff coming off like regular nonstick surfaces.
