We have had Coolaroo Shade Sails (tension sails) installed for years. They help so much on the back porch (west facing). As a note, there is a difference between tension sails and just shade cloth. We get a decent amount of wind and shade without tension these things would just fly away/rip.

Just know the corners are 10'x13' but you lose about a foot on each at the middle. I have a 10x x 10' deck and was left with spots shining through with my 10x10 sail.

87% shade seems like a little too much? I'd put this over a pool so I want some shade but still decent light coming through. Any good ones that are like 60-70% shade?
