What a ripoff only 100" when TCL has 115" and Asus has 162" coming in close to this price point
Huh? Just looked on Amazon, the 115" TCL is $13,997.99.

If you need it now, it's a good deal.

For those who are unfamiliar, RTings is the place to go before you buy any TV. Currently, this TV is tied for the best TV you can purchase in the 100" class. Admittedly, they are not comparing it the 97" LG G5 OLED that costs $24,999. TCL does have a TV that they slightly favor overall but it still costs $4K. The Hisense U8 has been $4K as well up until just this week when both Best Buy and Amazon dropped their prices to $3K.
Short answer, as others have mentioned, it's a good deal on one of the best TVs you can buy at this price point.

BTW, when spending this much money, it's worth considering opening a credit card. Best Buy has 0% interest for 24 months OR (not both) 10% back in rewards on your first purchase when you open their credit card. I am NOT recommending everyone goes and opens a credit card just to buy an oversized TV. This is just information.

I currently have this tv that I had bought last year on sale for $1,600. Not sure if it'll drop in price soon, but definitely double the price now...wait a bit longer.

I don't believe it's the same model. This came up less than a year ago on Amazon for 5K. Has been dropping bit by bit. Black Friday deal was $3500.

I've been watching this TV since it came out. The lowest I've ever seen it was $2500, which was during black friday. The U6, QD7 and E6 were all under $1700 at some point and come in 100", which is probably what they're thinking. This is a higher quality set.

Wow. Same here. Never seen it at 2500 though. Pretty sure BF price for me was 3500. I would have bought it at 2500. According to amazons 90 day price tracking this is the lowest it's been.

For what it's worth, TCL fared much better on Rting's accelerated longevity testing. I bought this exact TV in December and had it fail (2 dead rows of pixels) in a little over a month. I'm so happy that happened within Best Buy's return period, but I chose not to gamble another $3500 on a Hisense.

I think larger the TV, less chances it will arrive unbroken.
