I see that it says Samsung only, but will it be part of the Google network too?

Not according to description. "Designed exclusively for the Samsung system (not compatible with other Android or iOS systems)"

Finetrack Slim G is the Google FMD version

Personally I own a couple of these because it's the only card version on the Samsung network to my knowledge. uses a proprietary charging cable. not terribly loud. but it works. these are normally priced about 25-26 so the discount is not as big as it seems

I had a ugreen one for iOS... two in fact (one for me one for family member) they both died quietly (stopped updating and really no alert about battery, which was not the problem). I'd steer clear even though this is a different product. I picked up the IVanky one for under 7. Haven't set it up but that's all I was willing to risk. Already have a wallet that has an AirTag holder built in.

What do you mean by not terribly loud?

The ring when you try to locate it. It's only about 40-50db. Wish it was louder but Cards aren't going to ring as loud as the Tags just due to the design

Yeah I'm happy to have an alternative. Granted the Samsung ones are always marked heavily down (50 dollars for a 4pk)

I'd rather get the android one, since there are more phones (including Samsung) to location ping, than just a specific Samsung phone. If that makes any sense.

I really like my nomad one for iOS, sadly doesn't look like they make an android option.

I am a Samsung guy but in this market, Apple is better because there are just more Apple phones floating around in circulation in this country. If this is lost and there's no Samsung phone around, how will it be located on the network? There's just a higher chance of an Apple device nearby in a public setting.

Agree but I think this where Apple has them beat.
