My guess is that the 32gb versions actually come with Ultra 7 256V and Arc 140v graphics.
The RAM is built (non upgradable) into the CPU itself, so it can only be 256v with 16 GB or 258v with 32 GB.

OP's post mentions that the screen is:

Quote :
14" FHD+ (1920 x 1200, WUXGA+) 16:10, 60Hz, 300-nits, 45% NTSC, Anti-glare, Touch, IPS Display
But where is this info from because it's not mentioned in the listing. I was looking to get a a similar laptop with 100% sRGB for the screen, but look like these refurbished ones don't have it? Was planning to get this $750 Acer 32GB model at Costco (https://www.costco.com/p/-/acer-a...?langId=-1), but always looking for a better value.

Been using it for 30 days, came in like new condition with 100% battery health, under 2 full charges. Very hassle free experience like buying a trouble free fast honda with very high mpg.

One of best value for all in one laptops with reliable Intel 6E wifi, good blend of battery life (12hr-22hr), Anti-reflective matte display for work, encodes 4k very fast with Intel Quick Sync, light gaming ( @30-45fps), very travel friendly ( 3lb, no dongles needed, charges with 15w-65w, metal top and bottom plate)

Eco mode gets you 22hr , but slow 150mph speed
Regular mode gets you 12-16 hr , but fast 500mph
Having 10-15 tab of youtube 1440p does choke the 16gb ram. But 20-40 regular chrome tabs is no problem on high mode.

If you want better gaming, wait a year for Panther Lake X9. It has 50% better gaming with 50% more XE cores for over 3 times the price.

I ordered from Acers ebay over 4 times in last 2 yr. Half was flawless order with shipping within 7 days. The other half was sent the wrong 16gb laptop ( ordered 32gb laptop) and dead charger with $50 off (delta chargers have high defect rate). Refund was within 7 days. 10 times better than Dell Refurbished with used batteries .
How's the screen quality for you tube and movies watching?
Does it have backlit keys?

My bad, I actually meant 258v. You're correct.

"2-years warranty: This item has a 2-year warranty serviced by Allstate."

Two year warranty is great! I don't have experience with computer warranty with Allstate. Are they reliable?
They were kinda annoying with a 75" TV that died on me last year but I did get my replacement without too much fuss.

They kept asking for different photos from different angles, close ups, zoomed out photos of the entire TV with "something in the background." Every day it was a different photo request. I was half expecting them to ask for feet picks Wink

It seemed like they didn't believe the original photos were mine so they wanted more pictures so they could verify one vs the other.

That being said, after 3-4 business days of back and forth, mainly just new photos....which was a pain because I was out of town for some of that time (so admittedly used a screenshot from a youtube review for one of my photos!). They ended up giving me the choice of 3 different TV's to replace my current one. 1 was the same exact model, another was a different brand (and different smart TV OS) but roughly the same value, and the 3rd was actually far better TV and several model years newer. Once I chose the last option, some dude in a crappy pickup truck delivered the new TV 48 hours later and it ended up fulfilled by the Walmart 15 minutes down the road from me. Crappy pickup dude must have just been Walmart's delivery contractor for bulky items.

Good question and I wonder that too. Intel's 226v model doesn't come with 32gb of ram, only 16gb, and not the Intel 140v iGPU, so something is wrong in the listing.
I wondered that too when I saw "Intel ARC 140V" in the 32GB listing. I wondered if the listing was wrong in the spec's or that might be correct however they incorrectly listed a lower CPU than was actually included.

Looking at https://www.acer.com/us-en/laptop...4-ai-intel the only models with 32GB of ram are the Ultra 9 and 7, the 7 is the A14-52MT-701K (NX.JDJAA.003), which appears to be the below (I think it being the Ultra 9 is just wishful thinking). I'm going to order that one and see what happens. Best case I am surprised when it is a Ultra 7, worst case I return it being they list free returns.
  • Windows 11 Home
  • Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 258V processor Octa-core 2.20 GHz
  • Intel® ARC™ 140V GPU shared memory
  • 14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS 60 Hz Touchscreen
  • 32 GB, LPDDR5X
  • 1 TB SSD

The 32GB is NOT 32GB it is also a 16GB:

This is the answer I got from Acer about the 32GB listing:

Question:
What Core 5 processesor with 32gb ram is in this laptop?

Acer Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. The Acer Aspire 14 AI laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor and 16GB of RAM.

It does not have a specified configuration for 32GB RAM mentioned in the available results.
However, it is noted that the Aspire 14 AI is designed to deliver reliable performance for various tasks, including AI applications. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thats crazy, then why would they even have two SKU's listed if both have the same specs...since they claim the ram in wrong....but don't fix it? I sent them a similar message asking for the model # on the 32GB listing but haven't heard back yet.

FWIW, this listing ($539.99 with coupon code) posted recently by Dr. W looks solid as well, it is a Ultra 7, 2-in-1, only 16GB of RAM, OLED though
https://www.ebay.com/itm/389430912755

FWIW, I'd probably rather the Ultra 7 16GB vs the 5 with 32GB. I was really hoping this unit was actually a U7 with 32GB, especially considering they mentioned Arc 140V.

Yes, their listings are at times screwed up, but the units, when received, are often like new. I only buy manufacturer refurbs.
I would be cautious to buy from Newegg over ebay. You may want to consider this Gen 1 Ultra 7: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276709583737

Thanks for the suggestion! I buy a bit of refurbs off eBay but normally from Lenovo. I've had 5-6 in the last 3+ years, mostly appeared new and many times shipped with retail packaging. These current Acer deals are very tempting though.

FWIW, I really want this listing (or there is another flavor in 32GB) BUT the coupon doesn't apply. https://www.ebay.com/itm/267209337671

And why do you mention be cautious about Newegg?
P.S. Lenovo is about as bad with their listings as well. Take a lot of reading between the lines, they'll always have conflicting info, have accessories listing that aren't including, and multiple model numbers mentioned in the same listing but for similar, yet different units.

For what it's worth, Acer does have a version of this laptop that has a core ultra 5 cpu with 32gb ram. The core ultra 5 228v. But it does not have the 140v.

I wouldn't trust Newegg on a refurb.
