This PSU has 2 12V-2x6 slots and only 3 PCIe/CPU slots. If you have an older GPU, you probably won't have enough PCIe slots (you'll probably need 2 for your CPU and 2 for your GPU). MSI is/was giving away a cable to convert 1 of those 12V-2x6 slots to 2 PCIe. I believe the promo is still active (https://us.msi.com/Promotion/full...your-build) even though Newegg isn't directly linking to it.

This is true. I got this exact PSU and there aren't enough PCIe outlets for my 7900xtx. However I filled out the promotion form(s) and the 16pin-to-two-8pin adapter cable came in about 1 week instead of the 8 they said it would take. Submitting for the promotion isn't the most obvious process, though. For example the address form is backwards and it forces you to enter an apartment number. I just entered a single period and it worked. I also had to take multiple screenshots of my receipt for some reason. Keep your wits about you. I thought I read something about it being for purchases before Jan 1. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.

I checked the promation page and it looks like they extended the promotion to March
Just to throw another datapoint into the mix, I too ordered the free connector/adapter. It arrived to my home in California in 3 days! Very smooth process. Website a little clunky, but otherwise no issues.
Yup, I got the free adapter even though I don't need it and also two steam promotions gave me $31 total in steam credits. PSU is quiet and cables are a nice quality. Only downside is there seems to be more coil whine compared to my EVGA platinum PSU but i do like having the 12V cable and it is much more compact so I can use the ishift mounting on my antec pro flux case.

I got the PSU, but not building yet. Debating if I should keep it or go with other PSU.
