Almost every review is a vine review for a free product. Not sure I would trust it, which is a shame because I want one.

Vendors debut products giving them away to vine reviewers to get reviews.
I always check for the reviewer who has pictures or video that demonstrate they actually used the thing. In the absence of that, I won't bother. If the review is clear they know what they're doing and it shows usage, then I'll give it a try.

I recently bought one, not this model, the one with 2 parts, gun and turbine. I sprayed primer and paint which worked fine. It isn't the best but average good build quality. I don't if it wold last? but overall, it is ok for the price. Although I am thinking I might return it and get this one instead. The one I have is noise for indoor usage. This one has a brushless motor.

I like the idea of other manufacturers using the Dewalt battery ecosystem, as I am heavily invested. Is there a downside? Will it impact the battery's lifespan? Is it safe to do so? Just curious, as I have no idea.
I see a lot of people complaining about the Amazon Vine Program. I am a real human, not AI, and a critical but realistic reviewer on Amazon, and oddly enough, was recently invited to join the program, so I did. That said, so far I have received no products to review.
The other thing was that there were "Verified Purchase" reviews as well. You just needed to read them. They can also be biased and skewed. But they weren't all Vine reviews. But realistically, for $40, and not being made by Dewalt, you need to manage your expectations.

If you want one, What is stopping you from trying it yourself and return it if you don't like it. Don't trust the reviews, but you can trust Amazon return policy at least?

I know this is not comparable but, the Harbor Freight pneumatic ones usually sell for $10 with a coupon. Perfect for small projects. Just saying, for reference.

For other products sure, but I need to paint my barn and that is not a project you get half way through and need to return/exchange a paint sprayer.

That is my biggest red flag, when the review pictures have the item still in the box (or sitting next to it). There was a set of permanent smart lights like the govee or anker ones, but not a single vine reviewer took them out of the box let alone installed them. A commenter said they were likely asked to return (or sold them) them after reviewing them.

Keep in mind lot of paint equipment from some vendors are not refundable for obvious reasons of paint use….

My brother's is one of those Vine reviews, and he used it extensively to repaint most of the interior in his house. He liked it enough he recently purchased another one to give to me since I'm likely to need one soon. He was pretty impressed with it, and he thought it was worth more than $40.

Probably won't blow anyone away with the feature set, but cordless/hoseless for $40? Pretty slick...

I agree that many Vine reviews are silly, but as a "Vine Voice" myself, I can definitely say for sure that we are never asked to return anything. That's the deal - you keep it everything you order, full stop, and you commit to review at least 70% of the items you receive in order to maintain your ability to order more stuff.
