The buttons that make it look like a GFCI are actually manual on and off switches.
Safety concerns are debatable and building code issues are variable.
I mostly just thought that it was worth noting, due to the decision to make it look like a GFCI outlet. There's plenty of uses for it, and reasons to buy it. Just doesn't hurt to be an informed buyer.

Not only that, but a house like mine has GFCI breakers, so the outlets dont matter.
