This is why I went with Powerblocks over the other options. No moving parts, no ratchets, no gears, or parts that will wear our or break - just a simple and effective plate and pin system that will last forever. I've been using my Powerblocks for ~2 years and have been very happy.

Honestly, would go with Nuobell or the new MX series of dumbbell. More expensive but better investment

Too much plastic, if you check the Nuobell reviews on Amazon.

I researched these extensively during the pandemic and hope this helps. These PowerBlock EXP Stage 2 weights are compatible with all Sport EXP versions (Black/Red and Grey/Black), but they will not fit Sport 50, ELITE, or Pro models due to differences in bar size and positioning.

I eventually sold my Sport EXP set. While the EXP goes higher, changing weights in 5lb increments is much easier on the Sport 50. For my needs, 50lbs was plenty of weight and a much better value.

That being said, this is a great deal for the stage 2 and 3 expansion.

Think its expensive? Imagine buying a pair of dumbbells to get 40 lb increase. 60, 65, 70 pair of dumbbells...way more than $120

If this was 2 years ago this would've been great. But now there are tons of highly competitive adjustable dumbbells, many of which are similar in price and have many advantages.

Been using these 3-4x a week for over 6 years. The paint on the insides have worn out a bit, but they still function like new. Having used many of the other variants out there, these are hands down the best and most comfortable for daily usage, especially once you get used to the box design after the first few days.
