It's only $80 difference and only spend the extra if you care about these things:

Key Differences
Power Output: V2 offers 2600W continuous output, handling more high-drain devices than the V1's 2200W.
Charging Speed: V2 charges to 80% in 37 mins (from wall) and fully in 56 mins, much faster than V1's 60 mins (80%) and 70 mins (full).
App Control: V2 has built-in Bluetooth for the DJI Home app; V1 requires a separate dongle that uses a port.
UPS Mode: V2's uninterruptible power supply switch is twice as fast (10ms vs 20ms) for sensitive electronics.
AC Ports: V2 typically features four AC outlets (region dependent), while V1 has two, improving usability.
Battery Longevity: V2 batteries retain 80% capacity after 4000 cycles, compared to V1's 70%.
Safety & Durability: V2 adds more temperature sensors, fuses, and enhanced protection for harsh conditions, plus higher altitude operation (5000m vs 3000m).

I always feel like i should have one in an emergency, but in the past 20 years where I've lived, I don't ever recall regretting not having one. Never had a power outage more than 6 hours, and that may be 1 time.

Worth it for life to continue on as normal during a power outage, even if only for thirty minutes, in my opinion. The night I installed mine the power went out for just a few seconds, the heck yeah I got to say because my internet and TV didn't go out made it all worth it.

V2 does not have OS unless I pay to upgrade, just like v1, correct?

Are you joking? Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) is one of the safest chemistries available, almost bulletproof. If you limit charging to 85%, and don't drain to zero everyday, it will last almost forever.

Expensive for only 1024wh. At this size this needs to be less than $100 to be decent vs what you can get on Alibaba.

They can be handy during short outages. I used mine to run a heated blanket and a lamp during a past winter's nighttime power outage.
