Was tempted at 499 but 449 pushed it into buy for me! Replaces my old Dell 34" UW 60Hz

Fanfreakingtastic monitor for movie watching. No issue with productivity apps either. People make a bigger deal about "pixel shifting" or whatever. I never noticed any difference with my old LED monitor in Word or Excel. Keep in mind, it requires a screen refresh every 4 hours of continuous use, which takes 7 minutes. It's slightly annoying when you're in a middle of a session. I just click to turn off the notification and refresh at the next break.

Loved mine, only ever upgraded when the 4K version came out, but this is a great monitor for the price.

How do you have them setup? I wanted to downgrade from my 49 IPS, but feel like I'd miss the realestate. But putting 2 of these side by side seems insane XD

How is this with general work stuff? Text readable? One of the main reasons I've been looking at an IPS instead.

it would be insane! I have them in two different setups. bought the first one for my primary setup and liked it so much I bought another for my secondary setup. side by side would be something though!

I ended up buying a third to avoid the split in mid screen. Tight bezel but still annoying

Been doing creative work and gaming (mostly FPS multiuplayer games) on this monitor for almost two years now. I absolutly love it. No burn in. It's been the best PC upgrade I've done in a long time. Stunning monitor albiet not the latest tech these days.

The newer version (200hz+?) was the same price and less within the past few months.

Make sure you hide your taskbar! I've got 3 years of heavy use on mine and have a little burn in, but I grabbed another 2 year warranty for ~$140. Plan to send it in soon for a replacement.

First of all, it should be noted that this "9% off" is actually 50%. The 9% is off the already (amazing) $500 clearance price. The non-clearance price is $899.99.

Not worth it in 2026. Low refresh rate, HDMI2.0, no USB-C PD, outdated gen 1 QD OLED
Depends on the user. If you're using this as a monitor on a PC, you're using display port (or at least you should be). Gen 2 QDOLED version of this same monitor is unchanged outside of refresh rate and 40nitts brightness bump (oh and .. fewer USB ports). 165hz is not "low" by any stretch of the imagination, especially for a 1440p ultrawide resolution. I mean this earnestly as I own a 360hz monitor and have been guilty of having it set to 144 many times without even realizing it.

And if you're a console gamer (I imagine you are since you brought up HDMI), then yes the new version of this monitor offers better 4k/120 support, however this is remedied in part on this monitor by an update adding 'console mode' allowing PS5/xBox to better detect the display's resolution options (though not at full 120hz). But then I'd say why do you care about 165+ refresh rate - the console's aren't going to hit an FPS match with this monitor's refresh rate anyway, much less a 240hz version.

If you want fewer USB ports, 240hz and a newer HDMI spec for your console, then yes, spend the extra $400 for the 2026 gen2 model. For everyone else, this is a screaming deal.
