OK, this is a niche product, but pretty damn cool idea. Looks like something I would brew up in my garage. Cannot believe someone thinks there is a market big enough to actually produce and sell these!

Someone needs to sell a stationary bike kit that turns an alternator and recharges the battery using this. It's a win-win, at least that's what I'll tell my spouse.

You would be surprised. Overlanding / camping and running the portable fridges off of the power banks is pretty popular and the overlap between people with large power banks + camping seems pretty high.

I haven't used mine in the car yet, but I've used it to expand my Delta 2 capacity with a 2kwh LiFePO4 battery. Good for power outages and camping (electric griddle, water boiler, electric blanket)

An average adult using a stationary bile with a generator/alternator setup would generate about two cents of electricity per hour. If such a thing cost $200, it would take a person who rode their stationary bike for an hour every day over 27 years to make back the cost of the alternator.

Generating electricity with human power is kind of like putting solar panels on an electric car - it's essentially pointless and will always cost more to implement than the value of what it generates.

If you are thinking this is a PnP, it is not. But if you are thinking about buying one, you probably already know that.

For the noobs, all these types of converters require wiring heavy gauge wire(s) from the battery or a fuse/relay box back to where this device is installed in your camper and another from there to your storage battery, if they are to work at full capacity. These will NOT work properly if just connected to a trailer light wiring harness. Do a lot of research or talk to an installer before jumping into this.

you will be surprised how much building a proper one like this will cost.

I agree niche product. Many people overland/camp. Most do it on the weekends where a Power bank is large enough. I'm thinking this is more for the hard core live in the van types. I wonder how many there really are. I see a lot on Social media, but I doubt there are that many outside of "influencers". Most of us are lame and have a full time job. I can charge at home or campground for my few trips a year. This requires a few hours to install the heavy wire. I'd only do this if I did multi-week trips every year...but damn job gets in the way of fun.

I might be a little off, but I'd guess that would produce around 100 watts for a typical individual. That would mean 10 hours of pedaling to fully charge a relatively small 1kwh power station.

Charging one of those power stations from a vehicle's cigarette lighter plug also charges at around 100 watts, thus the need for a device like this that gets hard wired for a much quicker charge.

The kit comes with all the wiring and fuse needed to install. Fuse is integrated in the wiring. It's pretty much a plug and play. Just need to figure out how you are going to run the wire from the battery to, in most cases, the trunk where you keep your EcoFlow generator. It's a great product if you are already invested in a EcoFlow battery generator. They going to release a newer version that has solar input also so it can efficiently manage power from alternator and solar panel

So what you are proposing is... The Gilligan Gambit?
