The Suikoden I & II HD Remaster features an often-criticized, constant vignette (darkened edges) effect that was not in the originals, making scenes look blurry or muddy for some, but thankfully, fan-made mods (like the "Swicodin Fix") allow PC players to disable it, alongside other quality-of-life features; Konami also plans official updates for bug fixes, toggles for effects, and other improvements.

It was so bad I stopped playing until there's a fix on PS5. Absolutely boggles my mind why they thought this was a good idea.

I never noticed it in the screenshots until I read this, but now I see it. It's nowhere near as bad as the chromatic aberration on Assassin's Creed: Mirage though.

Awesome game. I beat it on my PS5 without all the updates with a few crashes during C19. I'm scared to start Phantom Liberty. LOL!
