I gotta say I've had a lot of problems with this. I got lucky with the cheap lifetime sub gosh like 10 years ago and it gives me eh minor problems on like a weekly basis. I have to turn it off and on a lot, and pretty much no public WiFi with a sign in portal works (eg on delta flights)

Edit: specifically I only mean on iOS

Are you referring to the Adguard VPN or the actual adblocker? I don't remember the VPN selling a lifetime sub, but the adblocker used to consistently sell lifetime licenses, which I own and still use.

The comment you replied to (and this post) is referencing the Adguard VPN specifically.

Adguard VPN 1.0 was released on August 2nd 2021. You must have gotten really lucky with a cheap lifetime subscription 10 years ago.

I checked my email and I have a receipt from 2018. It just says "AdGuard premium lifetime".Anyway my anecdote is iOS only for everyone's info.

And yes when I turn it on it says vpn in the top right

AdGuard Premium Lifetime is for AdGuard ad block. The top right VPN icon is gray out. If you click on it, it will prompt you to install VPN. Without this license, it's limited to 3GB per month. That would explain your issue.

Stacksocial used to sell a lifetime sub to fastestvpn.. long time ago. Still works but it's slow as shit and not compatible with most public wifis.
