I owned one of these for a long time really liked it, just found it a little too small for my fat hands to reliably flick open without really working at it. Eventually gave it away to someone with smaller hands who loves it.
For the money it's a good knife and Gerber does okay with the 7cr17mov budget steel they keep using. Came sharp, gets wicked sharp if you know how to really hone an edge, and has a decent action. The aluminum handle was comfortable and well made. Considering how much the price on knives have gone up, this is a pretty good deal if you're looking for a knife that's a little on the smaller side and easy to carry. Some folks aren't a huge fan of serrations but it really helps if you need to cut through something fibrous like rope or twine.
Gerber makes some really nice knives but they have embraced the budget market quite a bit lately, and I think that's what leads to a lot of hate on them. They do have a couple knife models I don't like, and I'm looking right at you, Gerber Paraframe, but I wouldn't be ashamed to carry this one around. It's more than enough knife for your average user.
