Amazon page shows it's a frequently returned item due to charging issues. The reviews are indicating devices randomly stop / start charging. Not sure if this is via the included USB retractable cable or if it includes the wireless dock.

I like the idea of this station. It has a couple of nice features that an equivalent Anker device does not yet have built-in. However, it sounds like either QC issues or the product itself is not yet prime time.

If you check the 90 day price history it was $69 for only a very short time. Regular price is more like $39.

The FAQ about if it is safe to use when it gets hot states that it has 6 protective measures against heat being an issue, but doesn't go into the details. My guess is that pausing the charging could be a way to mitigate heat issues.

What a poor design! Would hate to have these three outlets next to my laptop.

I have this, these damn outlets stick up at an angle when plugged in. It makes plugs look like they are not plugged in properly. My main reason for not liking it. I just use the phone charger and side usb ports. It looks and seems Ike a great idea but I wouldn't buy again knowing this.

I like the idea also but unsure about buying with the mention of charging issues. I'm looking for a slim family travel charger. What brands do you think are safe/best? Anker?

Would cruise lines accept this as an option? They typically don't allow power strips. But this is technically not a power strip.

It's possible. However, someone posted a video trying to charge a Samsung phone. It definitely lost the charging connection in a very short period of time off and on. If it was charging for say 30 minutes or 1 hour then I could understand the overheating issue.
