Just picked this up at my local HD. For $18, excellent value. They also had the wireless temp hub for $35.

Grabbed one at HD, looks like decent quality. I mostly wanted the shakers, but the spatula and smasher seem decent as well. Though I already had a smasher.

the shakers do look nice, I dont have any of it. but since my grille has grates and no flat surface, I just bought a little nordic ware aluminum flat thing to toss on grille just for smash burgers. looks easy to maintain/clean.

They had a Weber flat top on clearance for $25(from $125) at my store right next to these when I went, just FYI. Maybe 14x14? Looked like nice heavy steel, but I have a Blackstone, I don't need it.

my store had pizza stones, thats all. those were for the giant grilles.
I have a weber Q2800+ which I adore. but nothing I saw on the clearance table benefitted me, they had a little fire pizza cooker roccatbox or something for 200. but I snagged the little 18 dollar smasher set real quick, next guy would of grabbed it
I bought this for $20 bucks, tax free (military store exchange portal and tax free)

I like that it looks small enough to be easy to handle, and toss in dishwasher too! its worth a shot, if it sucks, only 20 buck loss.

do you think this was worth $10? I bought one it was on table too, but I have kitchenaid ones, they dont slip, this one seems to slide on counter. I didnt chop on it, but it feels harder/sturdier material than the plastic feeling kitchenaid. may keep it, unsure.

Went into my local store (N Durham) and found these on the shelf but ended up not buying them. They were a lot bigger than I expected, I was hoping to use them on a cast of iron pan on my stove, but it's more designed more for grills.
Furthermore, the box says it it requires a piece of parchment paper to make sure the meat doesn't stick onto the stainless steel press. It's advertised as being dish washable though ✅

You can use Parchment Paper or Wax paper when pressing out Smashburgers to the griddle.

The paper keeps the thin patty from sticking to the press.

I dont get it... I been "smashing" burger meat for 35 years without these... what is the difference between "smashing" burgers and pressing them into shape?

Seems like the whole social media/marketing BS is getting out of hand...

Whats next, new "tools" to precision carve tomatoes? and tactical undressing of garlic?

I would see the use of this if you are running a restaurant where burgers are a staple menu item, might save some time, or if u r a kid out of college in your first apartment with no cooking tools and love to eat burgers 5 times a week.

Smashburgers are 80/20 beef and are pressed into super thin patties, so they become entirely caramelized meat. No pink center, it's all crust.

You cook them on a 700*F+ griddle

You have to work very fast; By the time you have pressed out 4 patties, it's time to flip them or they will be burned black.
