I have personally owned this. It was ok for a year or so when I didn't know what I was doing. I would recommend investing in something better.

No. This is a ratchet. In most cases you had to loosen it by hand first. To do tough stuff you need an impact wrench.

Buying off-brand rechargeable tools is not wise. You end up with a bunch of incompatible, irreplaceable batteries. That really limits the utility of the tool.

Any reviews on this? This tool would be really nice at this price if it's decent quality

ratchets aren't for removing stubborn bolts, that's what an impact is used for. This is for bolts that have already been broken loose or aren't that tight. It gets into tight spaces.

I'd stay away from any unknown brand as no idea how long the batteries would last and when they're dead, you have a paperweight

I love power tools. But unless you are going to work on cars a lot, I find it's time consuming to deal with these tools. It's better to spend this $ on good rachet/sockets and comfortable gloves with a good grip.

With cordless power tools, it's all about the batteries and chargers. Find the line you like and try to stick with it. If your charger or battery dies and you can't find replacements, your tools are dead.

If you are going to do any serious work, you want to have 3 batteries and 2 chargers to start. I plug 2 chargers in and find the 2 batteries with least amount of charge and let it charge. Then I start working. When the battery depletes, I pick the battery with the most charge and use it and put my depleted battery in the charger. Unless you have insanely slow chargers or doing crazy work, i can last whole day without ever stopping.

There's probably nothing wrong with this ratchet at all. I'm not a mechanic, but I have one of these. They are kind of cool. Honestly, I've used mine once total, and it was overkill. It's there in case I ever need it, I just hope the batteries are still good if and when that day comes.

As far as buying into a new battery ecosystem, that's no big deal if you have a regular need for this tool. I'll bet most dudes that use cordless tools are into multiple brands by now.

Great form factor. I've got a Ryobi one, and the battery size makes it useless. Ridgid is a little better with the battery not getting in the way, but if you want this form factor in a mainstream brand you are going for Milwaukee 12v. Not getting that for anywhere near this price, but you won't regret being in that tool line.
