Usually you use it while the device is active through the top for certain blends to get all the material to the blades

(REFURBISHED similar V1200 - which I prefer - has been $200 AT LOWEST, and that's quite some time ago and only 5-year refurb warranty.)
Venturist is technically a newer model, too, if that means anything.
And ALL Vitamix blenders include tamper - it's integral part of recommended blending technique.
(Rest of your post is just bizarre! What, are you gray-market exporter giving advice to international Vitamix buyers, or something?? 🤣😂)
Some people only want new, but Vitamix "refurbished" has brand new container, lid, and tamper, anyway (blade often not new, but recently manufactured, inspected, and its stainless steel l industrially sanitized). Well, well worth the savings!
