Main difference: The "S" stands for "Short" - designed with less coverage to allow better range of motion for dynamic exercises like burpees and pull-ups, while the "C" is the standard/regular length with more coverage, comfort features, and smaller weight increments for finer adjustments.

LOL. I have never used a weighted vest. Is this a good weight to start for general walking outside. I would use it mostly in the winter here in S Fla and maybe spring. Can you use these walking on a treadmill?

i am planning to buy one too. it has removable weights so its good for beginners since you can start with smaller weight and add if needed. you can walk and run in these and do pull ups and push ups and everything else you want in these.

Vest weight should be based on body weight and adjusted from there based on the type of intensity you're looking for. I recommend asking an AI about this -- give it your weight and prompt it to make a chart that shows suggested vest weight vs workout type and you'll know exactly the correct way to use this.

Sorry, that is actually the one place you cannot use these.

I'm about 205# and I use the other style of CAP 20# vest almost every workout. Once you've gotten good at bodyweight pullups, box jumps, etc, it makes for a better natural progression without just having to add reps.

Similarly, once you're walking sub-15min miles, it can be hard to make things tougher -- elevation changes and weight vests help, ideally both!

I have a different 20-lb and an 80-lb jacket. 20 lbs is good for walking outside and treadmill. RE: running, watch/listen to your knees/joints when adding weight. Also, if you have sensitive skin and, depending on the jacket's comfort, sometimes you might want a thicker t-shirt to protect any lighting bruising on shoulder area.
