There should be an industry consortium to establish a common, standardized battery platform for cordless tools, similar to how USB-C standardized charging across devices. This would allow consumers to purchase tools from any manufacturer without worrying about battery compatibility. The current landscape, where each manufacturer maintains its own proprietary battery system, is inefficient and detrimental to customers when it comes to choosing tools. Can you imagine if car manufacturers had proprietary gas nozzles to fill gas?
Many no-name tool manufacturers have started to adopt the Makita 18v battery platform. On another note, the EU deserves credit for forcing Apple to abandon its proprietary Lightning connector and adopt USB-C.

Ordered the starter kit and the hammer drill. Will both work together?

The HEPA attachment that's also on clearance for $50 fits this right?
Edit: I was wrong about this. So sorry. Per SharpStar's post & link will not work.

Be aware that SDS bits are very expensive compared to regular carbide tipped concrete drill bits. For a DIY homeowner who needs to drill into concrete once or twice a year, a regular drill/hammer drill would be more economical. Plus the size and ergonomic of this type is not conducive to be used as a one handed tool as a regular drill for other tasks.

So glad you asked this. I didn't see this deal, & just ordered 1. Yes, according to product overview it's for GBH18V-26 rotary hammer. Edit: In case anyone needs the link https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-33...rsal_links
I'm surprised you guys on this forum aren't checking the deals of the day on the Lowe's app daily. The 4ah battery, 4ah starter kit, sds hammer and hepa attachment are all listed right on the front page together if you open the app.

This is why I've been consistently trying to show people the "Green" movement is all nonsense virtue signaling by companies. Sorry, but MONEY still RULES the world even with the virtuous movements people are believing. If it were about using resources wisely they would be advocating for this kind of interoperability of power tool batteries, video cables, the list could go on. Your cell phone would have a removable battery so that you didn't have to buy a new phone every few years. Instead of bragging about a new $50k electric vehicle every few years, the focus could be on keeping cars repaired and maintained so that you're not wastefully swapping vehicles. Grocery stores love cloth bags because they don't have to spend money providing YOU with a bag anymore to carry the stuff that you just paid them for. It's all a giant scam telling people they are wasteful for while the largest companies are the most wasteful and exploitative ones. Money has always been the way of the world since the beginning of civilization, people just don't want to admit it as the reality.
Initially, a couple of EV car companies did start with their individual charging connectors and then quietly adhered to the Tesla standard and I believe now all EVs can be charged at all EV charging stations. This is how the tool battery platform charging should be. Why the heck would I tie myself to Yellow, Red or Green tool company, although I have some tools from them bought in the past. And now I strictly buy and use tools from the no-name brand or Makita where almost all have standardized on 18-21v Makita battery platform. Same goes for EVs as well, now we can all wait and see what happens to the new EV deal Canada has with China, which I feel will bring down the cost of batteries to the lowest and most likely Tesla will have to pound sand unless they could compete with those Chinese made vehicles, in terms of support, maintenance costs and battery replacements. That is when we would see real drop in ICE vehicles, until then I'll be burning diesel until it is made available for me to be able to drive my cars.

According to Bosch, this attachment does not fit the D model (like the one in this deal): https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/...1600A008L2
