Panasonic Eneloop AAA rechargeables stand out for long life and steady performance in everyday devices. The batteries are described as holding up for years, keeping charge well over time, and doing especially well in kids toys and other slow drain gear. They also arrive only partially charged, so a top off may be needed before use. A shipping restriction appears for some addresses, and the listing is for AAA batteries, not the AA version in the comparison.
Common Questions (4)
They can last for years and are reported to hold up well in kids' toys and other everyday devices. Eneloops are also known for retaining about 70% of their charge after 10 years, which makes them a strong choice for low-drain storage.
They are not fully charged out of the box. A full top-off on a Panasonic charger took more than an hour, so it's worth charging them before first use.
Yes. NiMH rechargeables run around 1.4V down to 1.2V as they discharge, which is usually fine for slow-drain devices like mice and keyboards. They may trigger a low-battery warning sooner than alkalines.
This deal is for AAA batteries, not AA. The Home Depot comparison mentioned in the thread was for AA packs, while this listing is the AAA 12-pack.
