Where does it say that these include 5 strands? Do you mean 5 feet?
The guy who posted this on SlickDeals seems to have incorrect information. The actual listing says nothing about five or six strands and only mentions 520 LEDs over a 4.9x6.5' area.

For cool effects these are awesome. It you expect to really see the images you'll need them against a white wall and still isn't great. But if you just appreciate the wall of lights the effects rule. We have 2 and use em for kids room doorway (and drape em) and for Christmas over our sliding deck doorway. They rule for that.
Looks like this is first generation - I have two, the strands imo are too far apart, makes the visuals lackluster. I moved them closer and it looks better, the gen 2 is about 10-20 more dollars unsure if it's worth it.
This includes 5 strands which is only about 20% of what's needed to replicate the prominent picture on the box.
You're posting incorrect information here. The product description on SD is wrong. I have three of these sitting in front of me as we speak. Each has 20 strands of 26 pixels each (520 pixels total).

I'm looking for something that I can use for some notifications from Home Assistant. Anyone see any reason I couldn't mount this at the top of a few SKADIS panels and drip it behind them?

I'm quoting the post. I'm not posting any incorrect information. Take it up with OP. Also, if you look at the pictures of the strands, it doesn't look like 25 strands, does it?
