If you already pay for Amazon prime and you don't ever see the reason to cancel that subscription and you buy a lot from Amazon, it's worth it because of 5% cash back and zero percent finance options available.

Then of course there's the non Amazon prime card. It's not as good as the Amazon member credit card but it gives you similar features. Again it's nice if you shop at Amazon a lot. But if you hardly ever shop there. It may not be necessary. Unless you see the need to finance a big purchase at zero apr.
