For those who remember the name Aiwa from years ago, this isn't it. That Aiwa is long gone, it was under Sony in the 2000s before it went bust and got passed around a few times. Online reviews of this product suggest that it's made by Vivitar Sakar.
I have 2 of the exos 9 and bought 2 exos 10. I returned the exos 10's.
Pros: lighter, passive radiator, comes with carrying strap, can be connected to several exos 10s
Cons: bass isn't as good as the exos 9. Arguably less volume (subjective testing in a sound chamber). Feels cheaper than the exos 9.
Takeaway: much more mobile than the exos 9 and main tradeoff is the lack of a port. It's might lighter making it significantly more portable. I only returned it due to the preference for the port. My friends still have their exos 10 and are extremely happy.
I owed the exo9, it was incredible. At the time, about 6-7 years ok. The Aiwa name was purchase by a boutique american engineer. The exos9 destroyed everything remotely close in price for a long time. Like 4.9 out of 5.0 stars on amazon for years. Loved that thing.
