Do people have a good experience with GE Cync? I don't know what, but it just gives me vibes as the type of brand that will just get abandoned in a few years.

If you integrate with your smart home of choice (Google, Amazon, whatever) even when the app is no longer being updated your home will be able to control it until the product fails. (Found this out when monoprice abandoned stitch and an android upgrade rendered the old app uninstallable.)

However to answer question the GE strips I bought in 23 still work and the app is still supported last I checked so going on 3 yrs, the line was first released in 21 so that's going on 5 yrs 💜

I've been using GE Cync tunable white bulbs throughout my home for almost 3 years, and they all still work fine. No need for resetting or anything. I used the previous "C by GE" smart bulbs for about 4 years and they worked fine with no hiccups.

I have an older version of this, and have it integrated in Home Assistant with a third party integration. It works for on/off control, and is cloud dependent. But is great that I can fire it on and off via home assistant automation instead of using the cync app. Still need app to setup and select modes, etc.

I didn't want to downvote this deal, but for some reason, Amazon is saying they can't ship this item to my home address (Illinois). I put a similar item in my cart, and no problemo. IDK

Mine showed that message 1-2 hours ago and then I checked a few minutes ago and that message was gone...so I ordered one.

Edit: I just noticed that when I used the link in the first post, I was able to order it. But the link in the 2nd post did not work for me. I'm not sure why?...perhaps slightly different web address??
